“Enough” time

Sometimes people think that because their time is broken up and they have no long, uninterrupted swatches of time for working, that they may as well not begin.

My advice? Pretend that you will never have such time again. Tell yourself that all of your days will be as crowded and as pell-mell as those you have had lately and then figure out how to work in them. Unlimited time is like an unlimited bank account-- not a luxury most of us will ever get to enjoy. You have heard the bromide "if you want something done, ask someone busy to do it." That holds water. Limited time can increase our focus, making us make the most of the time that we have got.

I am working on a paper which I am giving on this coming Thursday. It is part of my PhD thesis which has taken me years to write in between my full time job, raising a daughter with my husband and providing hospice support in our home to two elders and a friend.
I bought the on-line course today as my treat to myself! Thank you Miss Julia!

I would like that I could do better these days. The only thing I can do is writing my Morning Pages, day after day. Facing the most uncertain time in my life, having my 19-year old daughter fighting to survive an bacterial infection which places her congenital heart disease doctors for problems that could be high-risk or lifetime sentence. Both influencing her and our qualitiy of life increasingly. No ‘ENOUGH’ for me this time. Look forward to meet you in person when in the Netherlands next month. Praying and hoping that our life will become better, her health will be restored, the problems we’re faced to solved.
