So…the “check out” I referred to on June26…CAME…through synchronicity.
A family event that occurred, ultimately brought me, by myself (and my artist) to a 3 day lakeside artist date that I have been longing for. Did lots of NOTHING, then lots of writing. And yes, a cup of ice cream on the grass!
There’s a quote that says something like “wasting time, that you enjoy, is not wasted time.”
I like that. I use that…a LOT!
We have no time for guilt. “Waisting time”, on the other hand, can be a good thing.
Balance can be illusive.
I’ll take the blessing of BUSY, over Bored or UNABLE, any day!
HAPPY WRITING!

We-e-e-e-ell…I missed the mark this week. Highs too high, lows too low. It’s that BALANCE thing.
However, this morning when I woke up, I noticed the sky is still blue…the grass is still green…
And so, tomorrow – I love Mondays – fresh day, fresh week, fresh start, fresh ME.

i LOVE your artist date! :) … AND i love Mondays too!!! every since TAW it is my fave day of the week! :)

i realized today – even though I may not be working on my screenplay – i am working on my music and ‘writing’ for my project proposal for the fall – right now that all sounds like excuses but really I know when my schedule allows me have the time to do the writing i do it… i’m excited to wake up tomorrow morning an hour early again and get ‘on the wagon’!! :)

here’s to a week of kindness and building bonds with self and artist!! :)

I love how TAW teaches us to be kinder to ourselves. I used to think I was my own worst enemy. Now I KNOW I am my own best friend, so try to treat myself like a best friend. Sometimes it’s a slow process. What I formerly thought of as excuses, I now consider reasons.
My writing over the past week has come at times when I was feeling almost desperate – not knowing what to do next – so, I wrote. Came away feeling wonderful!
One project I’m writing is quite a big one. It covers an extensive period of time. Once I get into this one it just pours out…but for the clock…I would not have a problem missing a meal, dental appointment, laundry, having “an other” life. Keep writing. Happy! Happy!

one! … :)

yes – it’s a start… after some ‘time away’

…back on the early to rise schedule – seems to be the only way, for now that is creating a creative time to write for me!

…I’m disappointed in the past weeks… and will allow that disappointment… BUT am happy for this morning!

Good job, Girl! :)

PS – keep rockin’ keep writin’, smilesarefree!!!! :)

two.

So i just finished working on my 2nd (unfinished) screenplay – I am glad I ‘wasn’t feeling’ the first one this morning – as that is the one I have been focused on b/c it is ‘finished’ and ‘just needs some tweaks’ but this 2nd – i think is my fave… for now at least! :) I also have a new tool, which I will share with you this weekend, smilesarefree! :)

yowza – ok – SO – a bit of a block time for me as of late.

I’m having a challenge getting the engine started and keeping it running once it is started. … can’t figure it out. Distraction, expectations? I am also having a challenge categorizing my writing time. So far, if I am not writing/working on a screenplay, then I am not ‘writing’. I spent about 4+ hours today on writing and time spent on creating documents for an upcoming unrelated project… it involved creativity and typing :) … what a tangled web I weave… sometimes. Here’s to setting small gentle goals and meeting them.

July 18th…REALLY!?

Well, see page 96 TAW “The Virtue Trap”. Earned, deserved, accepted.
While searching for “treat yourself like a precious object” I ‘stumbled’ on p.96.
Worked for me. Thank you, J.C., L.M.!

I gently slipped into a stream of writing that took me to some beautiful places (mostly my back yard)….storing up images to carry me through the coming chilly months of fall and winter.

All this on an early, beautiful, warm, quiet, sunny summer Sunday morning out on our deck.
I call it my Harvest of Images.

Let the pen flow when it will.
When it needs to rest, it needs to rest.

(My new colorful pages book, in prep. for season change, is called Hot Chocolate :) )

Saw the film “The Help” twice in 5 days. (almost 3 times in 6 days). Going back again this week.
“You is ki-i-ind.”
“You is sma-a-art.”
“You is impo-o-ortant.”
GO SEE IT, over and over. Can’t wait for the DVD release.
HAPPY DAY!

Back again.
Hit “the charm” this week.
Now I know why I wake up so early in the morning…it’s a good time to write…quiet, no interruptions…all the rest of the world is still asleep :) …just nature and me, and a hot cup (or 2 or 3) of good herbal tea.
Season change – thought change – action change—–all for good!
The sunburst through the trees on Julia’s new homepage is EXACTLY what I see every morning out my window except, it is now coming later and later every day.
Happy autumn!
Happy writing!

Hmmm, autumn’s long gone.Writing time has been on hiatus for a “while”.
Time to re-start the motor.
I am always so happy after I’ve had a writing session!
Why have I been depriving myself of that joy?!
Well, lucky me – I can retrieve it right now! New month – new chance. Always a new chance.
I am very grateful for that.
Look out pen…here I come. :)
