Hi, I have not written for a while. In the beginning I did not even see this part of the website. My project right now is to contact agencies to find a way to publish my texts. Part of that project is to inventory all of my texts. I do not know exactly what ‘all’ means, yet. But I am going to find out on my way. I will also work the ATW again, as I do in spring every year. If someone would like to do it together I would be happy to have some exchange. |

I haven’t posted in a while, but I had to share my current project because it’s pretty wild. And half the world thinks we’re insane but I figured you guys would dig it. http://rt.com/news/marry-building-usa-occupy-957/ I got myself into something big. I was working with some local activists trying to save a building to use as a community center, and it turned into a bit of street theater when one of the group decided she was going to “marry” the building in a ceremony/performance to draw attention to the cause. And that it would be a gay wedding, because the building is female (and why not? If my plant, Steve, can be female, so can the 10th and Union warehouse). So… the story got out, and is being picked up by news all over the country, as well as in the UK, Netherlands and Italy. I’m completely blown away by the size of the whole thing, but I’m only a part of it, and I’m not the one in the spotlight. I’ve always wanted to do street theater, pranks for a cause, and creative stunts like this, but I’m telling you, it’s crazy. I’m in way over my head. And I love it. So yeah, I’m helping a girl get gay-married to a building. That’s my current project. |

My goal in 2012 is to write and record my first album of music. It’s been a goal of mine for years, but I’ve been so blocked I’ve been unable to make it happen. Hopefully with Julia’s book and this web site I can reach the point where I’m able to achieve my dream. |

Hello all! After getting and enjoying Julia C’s “Walking in the World”, I decided to commit to more creative support activities. My current projects include participating in National Haiku Writing Month and the 2012 “news from a small town” poetry practice (52 poems that could be true). This summer I’m hosting a free paint out/write out with Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, where we’ve been working on creating a poetry adventure trail. |

Hi everyone, what a great topic Horsewings! I wrote a short piece this evening and blogged it. I always think that’s better than nothing. It was a crazy dream sequence piece with dogs driving sports cars on the beach and other such stuff. I’ve recently started submitting short stories to competitions and to programmes for airing. Nothing has been picked just yet, but I’m hopeful. Magazines with short story sections are next on the list. Onward and upward! |

Hey Slippery my get up and go got up and went, and coincided with my partner feeling the same, which was double troublg. I was and am so frustrated by it, but a 6 hour dance meditation marathon for me ( I took a risk and went with a good friend who was going anyway- I happened to say I really missed dancing) complete with absolutely fatigued body and deep hot bubble bath to follow may be the making of me yet… and to see my beaming exhausted face, seemed to cheer my boyfriend too! sometimes taking a left field route can open up so much joy and discovery x |
