A one time cost might be tempting, though it could end up as a kind of family membership using a joint email account.

I get most of my graphics at Photobucket.com. It’s a photo/graphic sharing site.
http://s98.photobucket.com/

For the above graphic, I actually typed in the words “pedestal smiley” into the Search function there and the graphic came up. http://photobucket.com/images/pedestal%20smiley/ (Most times there are many choices to choose from.)

Mouse over it, and it will actually give the HTML Code to copy and paste into our posts.

I often do searches for _____ smiley, or _____ smileys, or _____ smilie, _____ smilies, since people post & spell the word smileys different ways. Usually one can find really great smileys there.

I created my own FREE account there and Photobucket will let me copy and save some of the more interesting or funny smileys that I want to reuse into my own account.

Generalist –

I did see on the Sign Up page that there was a link for GROUPS requesting a discount. I think we apply here. Maybe we should request one for people who regularly have posted here, and have been members for a certain amount of time.

I think the Forums there will be closed to paid members only. This forum is the BAIT for getting people to her live TAW site and eventually to her closed forums. THAT’S why it is still Google-able even after we requested it not to be. It has been mutually beneficial. They have been great to us here, trying to improve the forum, then took off the improved web features when too many members had problems. We are using this place for free at her expense, AND we answer a lot of questions for newbies to the process for her. It would be great for us to get a discount to the paid site.

I agree Ladyhawke about this site..it being a sort of a tester…I must admit I often wondered in the past what would be coming up next…!
Its not a bad tester..I got a lot from it…!
Learning others opinions is great…and I am sure Id miss it if it wasnt here…but I have moved on a lot since I started..thanks mostly to folk on this site sharing and caring..so much so that I am hoping to start helping others find fun and happiness through creativity this autumn and winter…I have great plans..! Just hope the site stays up long enough so I can tell you all how it went..!

Julia’s site launches today, and we’re still here. I think we’re safe, rosebud.

testing, testing . . .

It worked! Thanks, Ladyhawke. I have also been wondering about your skilled us of graphics in your posts.

I also discovered the Julia live site (actually, am following her on Twitter now) and had very similar thoughts, all across the board of what’s been expressed here already: It’s her work. Go girl! Glad we can still post here and maybe she reads what we’re saying. That’s good enough for me. Getting a lot out of “Walking in This World” lately after coming back to it. Got thirsty and needed a drink of cool fresh water. Oh, wait. That comes next in “Finding Water.”
